We run several short that are held on Weekdays, Weekends as well as during the evenings. These short courses are in fact held at times that are the most convenient for students whose time is very limited and have busy schedules.
For those of you who have a little more freedom to schedule your time at your own convenience we offer you our Weekdays Daytime Courses.
These courses usually start at 10:00hrs and finish at 16:00hrs to 16:30hrs depending on the how the project is evolving.
There is usually an hour for lunch at around midday, however, for students who are unable to make time for a lunch break, this intervening hour can be missed and the course finishing time be brought forwards by one hour.
There are usually a couple of 5 to 10 minute breaks taken during the rest of the day, or as and when required. Refreshments such as tea, coffee, cordials and of course plain old water will be supplied.
It is not always possible for students who work full-time during the week, or are unable to take the time off work to attend any of our Weekday Daytime Courses, for these students we offer a full range of Weekend Day Courses that are tailored to these constraints.

Refreshments such as tea, coffee, cordials and of course plain old water are usually included with each course, however, condiments such as sweets, crisps and biscuits etcetera are not included; if you require these kinds of snack foods they should be brought with you.
Students who wish to camp in the local area, or in our garden, whilst attending the course, are more than welcome to do so, however the facilities that we can offer are very limited, our garden is the size of a postage stamp and will only hold a single 2-man tent comfortably, plus there is no access to the garden except through the house.
For students who wish to stay in a B&B, we can make arrangements for you to do so if you wish. Please let us know your intentions well before your course start date, so that we can make all necessary arrangements.

Fire is one of the most primitive yet essential elements that we can learn to master, it has been essential to mans survival and development since we as a species learned to manipulate its mysterious power around 400,000 years ago. Fire has allowed us to survive in environments that would have otherwise been impossible without it. The comforting radiance of its magical dance has kept us warm at night, cooked our food and kept predators at bay to. It is hard to comprehend life without it and impossible to comprehend how our survival as a species would have endured had it never have been tamed.
Because of fire very existence and Mans ability to control its nature, life in the great outdoors is open to the vast array of possibilities that Nature has to offer. As a skill, successful fire making should be an art form that is learned by all who enjoy the bountiful wonders of our planet.
Our Fire Lighting Courses have been specifically designed to provide you with a firm foundation with which you can practice the principle and techniques that will be taught; you will be able to create your own fires so that you can enjoy its soporific dance, illuminate the darkness of night, keep you warmth and cook your food.
